Spring1883 Art Fair | August 2025

Sam Bloor is a visual artist from Perth, WA. He is interested in using the democratic nature of language to connect with audiences and reflect contemporary life. His work often moves between the small and personal scale (tattoos, mirrored objects), to the public and large scale (billboards, installations). He inverts the messaging of these scales to achieve public moments of intimacy and private reflections on the collective nature of society.

Sam has exhibited in a number of group and solo shows both nationally and internationally including: Totem In Tribute (2016) in Edinburgh, UK; the Fremantle Biennale (2019/23); Rotterdam Photo Festival (2019), NL. He was commissioned to produce a major public work as part of the 2022 Perth Festival. Sam has won multiple awards, including the Fremantle Print Award (2019), the Rockingham Art Award (2024), and the Joondalup invitation art prize (2025) and his work has been acquired by private, public and institutional collections including the Art Gallery of Western Australia
